I hate this topic with a passion. Mostly because I’m tired of all the misinformed screeching, frothing emotive bullshit coming out of the orifices of many, not all, but many of the anti 1080 brigade, and at times the pro 1080 advocates as well.

Most supporters had written off the allegations as minor, a desperate plight for the welfare of her child, excusable under her circumstances. We now know that those circumstances are complete bullshit. After some poking and prodding around those close to Turei, RNZ has revealed the litany of lies she preached from her Green co-throne to fabricate her “wider discussion” around welfare and poverty. “I’m committed to stay at least until the election… I know I have the support of my party and the support of my caucus”
The utterances of a selfish and arrogant party leader that places herself at the front line of calling for resignations at the slightest hint of trouble within opposing parties. It’s not so much the offending that most people object to, not to take away from its seriousness, but the lack of contrition. The sanctimonious entitlement that elevates her above the standard of accountability that the Greens so often hold others to. Continue reading
